We are very lucky to have some great fishermen that have become friends over the years. One of our regular clients passed away this month - it would have been his 20th year of fishing with Lee. He usually brings members of his family with him - wonderful, warm people that it is a pleasure to know. He will be missed.
This month some of our old friends are bringing new friends, and we are lucky to have a few groups that are coming to our lodge for their first time. Hopefully they will all come away with some excellent fish stories. I understand that fishing was slow the last 2 days, but I see there were still about 10 master angler cards handed in. Northern pike, walleye, brook trout and sauger. We have had several saugers registered this year - something we haven't seen in the last 4 years.
A few of these guests will be back in January when Lee is ice fishing on Lake Winnipeg - we look forward to seeing them again. They can fish for walleye once more - big "greenbacks" this time!
