The first week of August done...

We are very lucky to have some great fishermen that have become friends over the years. One of our regular clients passed away this month - it would have been his 20th year of fishing with Lee. He usually brings members of his family with him - wonderful, warm people that it is a pleasure to know. He will be missed.

This month some of our old friends are bringing new friends, and we are lucky to have a few groups that are coming to our lodge for their first time. Hopefully they will all come away with some excellent fish stories.

I understand that fishing was slow the last 2 days, but I see there were still about 10 master angler cards handed in. Northern pike, walleye, brook trout and sauger. We have had several saugers registered this year - something we haven't seen in the last 4 years.

A few of these guests will be back in January when Lee is ice fishing on Lake Winnipeg - we look forward to seeing them again. They can fish for walleye once more - big "greenbacks" this time!
